Some co workers and I were talking today about my “new guy”, whom I have been seeing for about a month. There has been no mention of relationship status and he hasn’t met any of my friends, let alone family, although I have met a few of his friends. But this weekend is a big weekend, it’s my birthday weekend. My best friend is throwing a HUGE bash in which my “new guy” is going to attend.
The valid point my co workers brought up was, what am I going to introduce him as when he meets my friends?
Questions running through my head:
- When is it ok to consider someone your boyfriend?
- And does it even need to be stated once you reach a certain age?
- How are you supposed to introduce this person to your friends if you don’t know the relationship “Status”?
- Do you just introduce them with their name, or is it necessary to dub a title as well?
- How long can you date someone before defining the relationship?
- Is it really necessary to have the awkward boyfriend/girlfriend conversation?

well, you could always just tell everyone that you're practically engaged...and make things REALLY awkward...haha
