Here is the scoop ...

I have worked in the pediatric intensive care unit
at the local hospital for 4 months now ...

Every shift at precisely 4 am the cutest xray
tech makes his rounds in my unit.

And every time he leaves the floor I always
smile at him with much enthusiasm.

Conveniently he ALWAYS happens to be
looking down as he walks by me to leave the unit.

WELL

This morning is a different story ...
After 4 whole months of his looking down he
caught me off guard and was actually looking

AT ME

As he left the unit this morning.
He even SMILED.

And then he said something ...
He said it very fast, and quietly, like he was
unsure of himself ...

"Have a good lawyer,"

.....

That is what it sounded like he said ...

I was so CONFUSED ...

I smiled at him ...

But I was SO CONFUSED ...

I couldn't fathom for the life of my why he
would say that ...

So I sat there ...
With a stupid smile on my face ...

AND DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING BACK

Poor guy .. takes him 4 months to get up the
courage to say something, let alone LOOK at me ...

I realized 10 minutes later that he probably said

"Have a good morning"

So remember this boys ...

When you are too shy to speak to a pretty lady and
it takes you months upon months to get up the courage
to say something, at least speak LOUDLY and CLEARLY
